Abenex acquires Blanchon Group

Abenex takes over the Blanchon Group, European specialist in wood coating products, from the founding family

Founded in 1832, the Blanchon Group is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of wood coating products through its comprehensive catalog of products for professionals and individuals. The operation allowed the numerous heirs of the founder to sell their shares. The entire management team led by Louis Philippe Reynaud are pursuing the Group’s development alongside Abenex, the majority investor in the operation.

The Blanchon Group is present through the Blanchon brand in professional stores and thought Syntilor in DIY stores. These two brands have been a reference for users for many years. The Blanchon Group relies on highly advanced research and development to develop its 7,000 references manufactured in its 5 production sites. The Blanchon Group also produces varnishes for PVC floors, which it sells to the world’s leading flooring manufacturers. Present in several countries in Europe and in major export markets thanks to the reputation of its brand and the quality of its products, the Group carries out nearly 30% of its business outside France.

Since its creation, the Blanchon Group has always stood out through major innovations with a strong focus on respect for the environment, and major technological advances in varnishes for floor coverings. In recent years, the Group has invested heavily in optimising its production and logistics facilities to serve its development ambitions.
