Di Marco, leader in the production of flours and bases for pinsa romana, that has been invented thanks to the vision of its founder Corrado Di Marco, has signed an agreement to acquire a majority stake in Pizzami alongside the Galati family, who founded the company and will be reinvesting in a minority stake. Pizzami, a reference in the production of pizza, pinsa, and other 100% gluten-free baked products, leverages an extensive experience in the foodservice sector.
The acquisition is part of a strong growth trajectory for Di Marco, more than doubling its size in just a few years, reaching 60 million euro of turnover in 2024.
A tradition of excellence and innovation
With a long history of tradition and innovation, Di Marco is recognized for the invention of pinsa and for the high quality of its flours and bases for pinsa, both in foodservice, and, more recently, in retail. The company distributes its products in over 70 countries worldwide. By acquiring Pizzami, Di Marco further strengthens its position in the gluten-free segment, expanding its product portfolio.
Pizzami: a gluten-free specialist
Pizzami is specialised in the gluten-free segment for both foodservice and retail channels. With a production plant in Parma, it is currently the third largest Italian producer of gluten-free pizzas, pinsas and baked products, that it exports worldwide.

The acquisition of Pizzami follows the recent announcement of the set-up of Di Marco North America Corporation, the company’s subsidiary in the United States.
